MEDINAH, Ill. -- David Toms has a little local knowledge working for him this week at the PGA Championship.

That's because Toms' caddie, St Clair Shores, Mich., native Scott Gneiser is a member at Medinah land Club. Gneiser, a 3 handicap, lives in Darien, Ill., about 25 minutes from the course, and plays at single of Medinah's three courses brace or three times a week when he's place of abode

"I think I might be able to help him gone out a little bit," Gneiser said. "I can be perceived more at ease about hitting different projectiles to different greens instead of me not knowing where to miss it or where to hit it."

Toms appreciates Gneiser's knowledge, which helped him fire 5-under 67 in the inferior round to climb into contention.
