And Yonathan Sivira picked a upright time to break out of his confess struggles.
Sivira's RBI single in the top of the seventh inning plated the game-winning scour breaking out of a 0-for-24 dryness as the Spikes dropped the Auburn Doubledays 8-7 Wednesday night at Falcon Field.
The win lasted a five-game losing streak for State guild all to the Doubledays, who had won six straight.
The Spikes' bats were alive with 13 hits, more than the 12 they accumulated above the previous two nights.
Nathan Southard l the way with a double as part of a 3-for-5 night, while Allen Craig had a single, double and three RBIs.
