The middle point County Board of Commissioners vot 2-1 Tuesday to pay Election orders & Software $1.17 million for touch-screen voting equipment, software and training, $906448 of which will be secreteed by federal grants.
The decision came after a commissioners meeting in which about 14 nation spoke against the touch-screens. The machines, in which voter touch a computer sieve does not produce a voter-verified paper trail, which opposers say is needed to make sure the integrity of the proces and voters' trust in that proces
